I asked "Carl" at Xfinity Mobile Support about this today. His answer? Xfinity will offer the FE directly with competitive pricing. The offer is supposed to be on their website in a few days, before the October 2nd availablility date.
At this point, that is as definitive as I have been able to get. FWIW, the FE is available from Verizon, the underlying network used by Xfinity. "Carl" is supposed to call me back directly in "a couiple of days". I will post something here if/when I hear.
It needs to be the special Verizon version with a UW in the name, I found that out the hard way a few months ago when I ordered myself the S20+ and my wife an S20, my phone switched over in their system no problem but when I tried to do the SIM swap through XM their system kept rejecting it because it wasn't an S20 UW. It was unfortunate because Samsung has a good trade in value for her old phone and our area doesn't even have 5G anyways.
I received S20 FE, and moved my S9 Xfinity SIM card to the FE? Xfinity told me that until they offer it for sale, they don't support the phone. The biggest thing that is not working (because it is not supported) is the Xfinity voice-to-text voicemail does not work, and does not alert me that there are pending voicemails (so I have to hit the voicemail key in my contacts to check voicemail).
Are all of the voicemail functions working for you?
I have the same issues with voicemail as you mention. There is the Samsung Voicemail icon that I just click to call voicemail to see if I have any messages after a missed call.
This is also happening to me with my new FE as well as I do not have mobile data (have to have available WiFi or I don't get data). Was just in an Xfinity store and the best we could come up with is to @ them on the various social media sites to get them to add FE to their lineup. So please help me do so because I've already sent my S9 back for trade-in and this is my phone now
I'm wondering what the reason might be that one user can't get mobile data on their S20 FE while others do. Any ideas?
I'd like to purchase direct from Xfinity once it become available, but I suspect the current deal at Samsung.com makes it a much better deal... especially since they will give me $225 trade in for my old spare iPhone 6S, which is way above the value of that device.

This may "help", or at least inform.

Looks to me like I may need to wait until I can get it directly from xfinity.

I just got my S20 FE 5G from Samsung today, unlocked. I put the SIM from my S10+ that is on Xfinity, and it works just fine thus far.
