I agree that the provider controls and decides when to push the update to their customers.

Btw, I got the OTA update last night, hope everybody else gets it soon!

Hello Bluetouchwiz30,

Thank you for posting to the Xfinity Forum.  We appreciate the time you’ve taken to reach out to us.  Officially, Google released Android 10 on September 3, 2019 to their line of Pixel handhelds.  The beta version of Android 10 OS for Samsung devices has been in testing since mid-September.  Approximately speaking, Samsung users can expect general availability of Android 10 in January 2020.

Keep in mind that OS updates are controlled by device manufacturers, and not service providers.  In the case of Android OS, device manufacturers must get the new software from Google, then make their own modifications, initiate testing, before releasing it to their users.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

thats not  really  ture     when  service providers  such has  AT&T  verizon  and T-Moilbe   when ever they  get the  update  they  1st have too do there  owne testing  be for  they  rollow it out too every too make sure the  soft ware  they  are getting   will work ok  with the network  and not  brake  any thing  after the  update  is in stall    so yes in the  way  service providers.   do have  controlled  over how softeware  update   and how it is   it works

Any issues with the phone after the update?  Wifi calling and texting still work?

I ask because my last OS update with Android/Comcast broke everything.

Hello everyone,

Greatly appreciate the posts and contribution of information.  As of now, I am unable to confirm an official date for full deployment of Android 10 to Galaxy devices.  We are awaiting the release of official news on this front.  Glad to hear that some of you are already getting the OS update.  I’ll keep checking back in with any new developments as I receive them.
