If l purchase from Samsung the Note 20 ultra and It's unlocked, Will it be compatible with Xfinity Mobile?

This is how things were before they fully implemented BYOD for android. If the sim was properly activated or provisioned and then swapped to a non xm phone, all services worked only for a few days.

Is this still true, does it still work? Comcast is telling me my device isnt compatible and I order directly from Samsung and it was unlocked.

I can tell you that mine still works.  But I wasn't trying to activate a new line of service.  I simply moved my SIM from my old device.

Mine doesn't. The weird thing was that mine said compatible when I checked. Took it to xfinity, ported my number then after a week or so they telling me it's not compatible and asked if I switched sims. I said no, it was done in store. They tried everything but no 5G. They went as far as saying I should have Samsung replace my device . Why, I had 5G when I was with sprint! When I checked, the APN online is different from that in my phone. I changed it from VZWINTERNET to COMCAST.RSLR.VZWENTP. I was able to text and call but had no internet. Had to switch back the APN. Also in mobile settings, there is no option to toggle 5G on and off. On sprint/Tmobile. I was able to do that . Xfinity is really ticking me off
