No voicemail notifications

I have a note 9, and any time I miss a call and a voicemail is left. I do not get a notification for the new voicemail until I go into the app and refresh. How can this be fixed?

@tahntoon

Thank you for reaching out here on the Community Forum.  Not getting those notifications can be frustrating.

It could be as simple as checking your notification settings on the phone or within the App itself.  I know with my phone I’ve turned a lot of the notifications off.  Please try going through these troubleshooting steps first and let me know if this is successful for you.

settings - notifications - click see all -turn on the notification you want on the app chosen

Sincerely,

Jared

Anyone get this issue resolved?  I see that this is a common problem.  There is nothing wrong with my settings.  When I called in and asked for a Tier 2 support person, I was transferred to Apple Support (I didn't realize it). After an hour and a half with the very friendly (and stumped) apple person we realized there was nothing wrong with the settings or the phone itself.

I have been to 2 Xfinity stores twice each and have called 4 times. I've had the phone since February and have yet to receive a single notification. People are leaving messages, but I don't know the messages are there. Of course, when I call the voicemail, it doesn't state when they called, so I have no idea how old the messages are.

SO FRUSTRATING, Why can't Xfinity figure this problem out!?  I had an android and changed to the iPhone (SX?) when I changed to Xfinity mobile.

If it wasn't such a pain to set up a new phone (install and log into apps), I'd jump ship!!

Someone please help!!

To send the requested information in a private message to Xfinity Support from any Forum page:

  • Click "Sign In" if that prompt is visible

  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3tj0IMc

  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person", but don't do that.

Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there. As you are typing a drop-down list appears.

  • Select "Xfinity Support" from the list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

  • Press Enter or tap the > icon to send it

See https://comca.st/3zGugWv for an example.
