Need to put Xfinity SIM Card into new iPhone 5-7

Hi, my iPhone 7 was sadly dropped and bent last night and will no longer connect to wifi or recognize my SIM card. I tested a friend's AT&T SIM card in my broken Xfinity iPhone and the phone recognized it, but obviously couldn't use it for cellular conection. Conversely, I put my Xfinity SIM card into her AT&T iPhone and the SIM card was recognized but wouldn't connect either. Not sure why my own phone won't recognize my own SIM.

I am hoping to acquire another iPhone that I can just put my old SIM card into. What is the process for making an Xfinity SIM card work on a new device?

I looked it up and iPhone 5-7 should all have the same size nano SIM card

If you cannot even get WiFi your iPhone is probably toast.

You may be able to use your Sim in an XM compatable phone (CDMA). This means going to the XM site and checking the compatibility of a friend's phone before trying your friend's phone. If you find a compatible phone it should work but may not  provide all features since the XM sim must match the IMEI of the phone for some features. If this works, then you know that your sim is okay.

If your sim is okay, your best bet is to upgrade your phone on the XM site. You can order the new iPhone SE 2020 for $399 while supplies last.
