End of CDMA by Verizon

Verizon seems to terminate their CDMA (1, 2, 3G) services soon and I just wonder if Xfinity Mobile which uses Verizon's signal is going to use only LTE/4G.

Also, I could't confirm if Verizon completely shuts out CDMA for voice calling (cellular data for sure), but would like to know if Xfinity Mobile is still going to use CDMA for voice or already switched to VoLTE.

Thanks.

Here is a link to a good article that answers most questions, however it is not entirely clear on what Verizon (and XM) will do on their subscriber white lists and when.

Thank you.

However, I already read it and wanted to know about Xfinity Mobile.

Verizon has postponed the "sunset" date for their 3G/CDMA network until the end of 2020.

Sorry to the OP, but we don't know what XM's specific plans are and can only assume that they will mimic Verizon, since XM uses the Verizon network.

Thank you very much.

This is actually pretty interesting because many companies try to shut down 3G but the article seems to indicate that it's not easy.

Anyway, I'll share it with some network operators in foreign countries.

How XM follows the Verizon's rules seems to be of interest to many MVNO companies also.

Maybe I need to collect the information by myself at a network meeting like NANOG.
