Disable Auto-Switch to WiFi?

Is there a way to keep my XM phone from automatically switching to WiFi when I get within range? For example, if I am playing Pokemon Go out in the world and I get within range of an Xfinity hotspot it will automatically switch to wifi, no matter how weak, which interrupts the game. The same thing happens when I get near my home. How can I stop this?
