Credit check ran with my wife's name

I have recently changed the ownership of my xfinity account from my wife to my name.

Xfinity mobile used my wife's name and my SSN+DOB to run the credit check and it failed.

Because of this, I'm unable to get xfinity mobile service.

Based on what I read in forum, I have to wait for 90 days to clear this failed credit check.

What should I do now?

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to post to the Xfinity forum.  I’m happy to assist.  The results for an external credit check (ECC) will remain effective for 60 days.  This policy detail was implemented in order to safeguard customer credit scores as it prevents multiple credit checks from being processed in a small amount of time.  My apologies for the inconvenience.  Let me know if there are any other questions that I may assist you with.

Hi Chris,

I'm unsure whether 60 days is "small amount of time", please check with your competitors.

I really wish that xfinity asks the customers to confirm the details before running a credit check.

Have been a Xfinity internet customer for as long as I remember, but Xfinity mobile is not up to the mark and the cost of the plans are justifying the kind of quality and customer service that we can expect from Xfinity mobile.
