Cannot donate to charity via text
I finally decided to try donating to charity via one of those “text ‘donate’ to 12345 to give $5” campaigns. It works by having your mobile carrier add $5 to your bill.
Well, not with Xfinity - apparently.
I’ve tried twice to donate to different charities and I received this response both times: “Your wireless account is not eligible to donate due to its business account status.”
Xfinity customer support confirmed that I do not have a business account. The rep did not know about the ability to donate via text but said the error must be because I’m NOT on a pre-paid plan. I’m on the pay-by-the-Gb plan. That answer does not make sense.

Response from Xfinity Mobile customer support:
I finally have a definitive answer which is that XM does not support text donations.

Thanks for the response @ComcastChrisL . I may reach out to you privately, but the issue is probbly not worth much effort. I assume this is a problem for all Xfinity mobile users, but maybe not. One post made it sound like pre-paid plans can't do it and another post implied that only pre-paid plans can do it. Just confusing.
