Caller ID Is Wrong
On my phone my number is correct, when i dial my brother on his iphone (which i have a iphone) he gets a gmail.com email address NOT my phone number even though he has my phone number stored. I am confused why this is doing this, can i have the called id just say WIRELESS CALLER? Please help as i transfered to Xfinity Mobile today.
Thank you very much

Hello Msp541,
Thanks for posting to the forum and pardon my delayed response. Have you confirmed what your number shows up as when you dial another number aside from your brother's? It may be that on your brother’s iPhone, he’ll need to delete your contact and add it from scratch again.
Let me know what your number reflects as on other devices. If it is showing incorrectly and not reflecting wireless caller, contact me through private message. You can message me privately by clicking on my name ComcastChrisL, which will direct you to my profile page, and from there you can click on the blue ‘send a message’ button.
In your private message, please include the following information;
First and last name, mobile number, complete service address, and the last 4 digits of the pay method on file.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Chris

hello Bri. It is because the call went through as a facetime-audio or facetime-video call instead of a cellular phone call. Also you may have both a phone number and an email address registered to icloud/imessage/apple, which is cool but can result in email address appearing instead of phone number. There is a setting in imesage to tell it whether to use phone # or email as 'primary' . Also when caller clicks on the contact containing both phone number and icloud address, caller will not know which method his phone will select for the call, facetime audio, facetime video, or a "normal" phone call to a 10-digit number. One way to fix the issue is for caller to use the old-school phone-symbol-app to initiate the call. Another is for caller to adjust contacts: Separate your info into two different contact entries "sista cell" and "sista facetime". That way it is much easier for bro to be be sure whether he is calling you via facetime/data or via old-school cellular/voip phone-number.

I had the same problem - caller id was saying "unknown" when I called people and I spent HOURS on multiple calls to Xfinity customer service. Turns out that it is a feature that has to be turned on by at least a tier 2 level customer service agent. When you call, make sure they know that the lower level tier assitants do not have the ability to turn this on for you. I was finally able to get it fixed.
