ACTIVATION NIGHTMARE! PLEASE HELP!

Can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

Prior to switching to Xfinity Mobile I called customer service to verify that I could keep my phone number (from Straight Talk).  I received new phone from Xfinity 5 days ago (Samsung Galaxy Note 10+)

After dozens of calls and chats with customer service for hours on end trying to activate the phone, I was told my number can not be ported (but they don't know why) and that they are "OUT OF PHONE NUMBERS" for my area! I was told to wait and try to activate the phone at another time.

Seriously?

Then yesterday I received an email stating my phone was activated. Awesome!? No! Because not only did they NOT port my number from Straight Talk but the number they gave me is in A DIFFERENT STATE! I live in Kentucky but they activated the phone with a Tennessee number!

So.

I called Straight Talk and was told Xfinity has not ever initiated the porting, that there is nothing on their end to prevent the number from being ported and I verified my account number, pin and other account details . Ive made three more calls to Xfinity customer service and another chat session, and have repeatedly receive the same response.... its been submitted to support team... allow up to 24 hours for the port to be complete. ??????????? (the port that can't be done? or for a local number they are out of? or to be activated with a number from a different state? Nobody can tell me.)

Please help me! Has anybody else been thru this? What do I do???

UPDATE! A year, yes a YEAR later and NOTHING has ever been resolved! My Straight Talk phone number was never ported over to Xfinity. In fact, no attempt by Xfinity has ever been made to port the number. I still have not been able to get a Kentucky phone number assigned to the phone. I gave up on getting a local number and tried for one that at least has an area code for Kentucky (the state I live in!) But that was also unsuccessful. The trickery here is that Xfinity can (and repeatedly does) make promises they do not, can not, will not keep for the simple fact that there is absolutely NOTHING that you, me, the customer, can do about it! You see, I waited as instructed by cs for my number to be ported and by the time is was clear they were not going to port the number for whatever reason, I was stuck! Not only did I NOT receive the $300 Visa for purchasing the phone and porting my number (even tho it wasn't my fault they couldn't ir wouldn't port it) but also stuck in a two year contract for a $1200 phone that they refused to let me return for a full refund. In fact I would be lucky to have gotten a 50% refund because they subtract a $300 penalty for breaking the terms AND depreciation type adjustment, even tho the phone was only a week old, had never been taken out if the original protector film and only had one call made from it ( TO cs!). Then after all that, they still, at their discretion will only refund what they decide is an appropriate trade-in value. Minus the penalties and fees.
Trying to decide if you want to make the switch to Xfinity Mobile? DON'T DO IT! RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
