Flex Box and Xfinity Stream app

I hope I am posting in right area. New Flex Box streaming user. What is crazy is Xfinity Stream app is not on the Flex Box. In 2018 I read an article that Movies Anywhere was going to be available on Xfinity. It is, on the Stream app. So why is Xfinity's streaming solution not include their own streaming service and allow customers to access their Movies Anywhere library (movies and tv) via Flex either direct as an app in the menu or by adding the stream app to the box?

No provider puts their app on their own equipment. You’ll need a Roku, fire stick isn’t compatible or upgrade your service

Looks like my post last night was deleted?

Got the new Flex box for streaming content on my TV. Hold that thought.

Read in 2018 that the app Movies Anywhere was coming to Xfinity. It did and is found if you log into Xfinity Stream app.

Guess what is missing from the Xfinity Flex Box for streaming? Yup Xfinity Stream!

So not only is the whole Flex Box menu a pain to navigate because paid and free service is all mixed together, but the company's own streaming app which is very easy to use isn't even on there so I can't access my content on my TV, just on my mobile devices.

Is this going to change? Already knew I wouldn't get Disney+ but not even Xfinity Stream so I can access Movies Anywhere app (or even adding VUDU) is ridiculous. I now have to pay for a different streaming service that can link to Movies Anywhere if I want access.

I managed to fix the issue myself, somewhat. I do not have access to my whole Movies Anywhere library of movies and zero access to tv shows. I only have access to 23 movies (my library is significantly larger) and at least 1 movie I can't play due to an error stating I need a subscription yet it plays in the Stream app. I'm getting very frustrated and think this Flex box is a bad joke.

Flex is for non-X1 service. If you have X1 service swap the flex box for an X1 set top box.

On  the Flex FAQ page  https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-flex-faqs

is the text:

Can I use the Xfinity Stream app with Xfinity Flex?
Yes, you can watch purchased and/or rented content and premium subscriptions when you log into the Xfinity Stream app with your Xfinity ID and password.

So perhaps Xfinity should fix this if the stream app is not going to be available on Flex.

My reason for wanting flex with the streaming app is for a second location, so I can access videos from my main cable service on a flex system in a second location.  With the app not on flex, I will need to buy a Roku or FIrestick and download the app.  This makes no sense.   Of course accessing via the xfinity stream app would be inferior to something more organically integrated with the Flex interface  (i.e. if a user already has HBO from another Xfinity account, or if the account is linked, then just enable those video apps.)
