I’ve had two pods plugged in for 2 weeks and they have never connected to any device. They are spaced apart and not too far from the gateway. I’m thinking they are a waste of money and I need to try to return them.
Of course after posting this, I used the xfi app to restart the gateway router/modem. It took 10 minutes but immediately afterwards one pod connected to my smart tv. Today 3 devices connected to the other pod. So after two weeks not working maybe all I needed was a gateway reset. Good signal in back room too. Best I’ve ever had.
