After Swap to XB-7 Gateway, Connected Wired Devices Now Show "Not Connected" on xFi App - RESOLVED!

Hello,

I have been using a Xfinity XB6 Gateway with 1GB Internet service and the Xfinity XFI iOS App and XFi website to manage the network for a couple of years.   I have 28 wireless devices connected and 19 wired connections.  One desktop computer was hard wired directly to the back of the XB6 gateway with a CAT-6 patch cable.  The remaining 18 wired connections were connected to the XB6 Gateway's other RJ-45 port with daisy-chained D-Link Gigabit (DGS-2208) 8-port switches located through-out the house.    When these were all connected to the XB6 Gateway, I was able to manage ALL 47 wired and wireless connected devices using the iOS Xfinity XFI app or on the XFi website.

Last week, I swapped out the XB6 Gateway for a new XB7-T (Technicolor) Gateway to take advantage of the new higher 1.2 GB wired internet speeds and WIFI 6.

Now, on the XFi App and website, only the 28 wireless connections and the desktop hardwired to the XFi Gateway show up as "Connected".  The remaining 18 wired connections through the gigabit switches are connected and work fine, but show up in the XFi app and XFi website as "Not Connected".

Why do the wired devices that are connected to the XB7 XFi Gateway via daisy-chaned gigabit switches show up on the XFI app as "Not Connected"?   They showed up as "Connected" when I was using a XB6 XFi Gateway.

Thanks,

I have the same problem, only worse.  My PC that is connected directly to the gateway's ethernet port also shows as "not connected" even though it is connected and has internet access.  Also, I am now unable to connect to screen mirroring through Roku to my TV - the Roku devices no longer appear in the Windows 10 display settings.

I resolved the Roku issue - I had to "back out" the latest network device driver.

The xfi app incorrect reporting of device connection status continues.  The devices that are connected to the xb7 gateway via "hardwire", either directly or through a network switch, appear / report briefly as connected and then go into the "not connected" category on the xfi app.  Devices connected to the xb7 via wifi report correct connection status.

Bobby2327,

Check out your xFi app.   The issue with wired devices not showing up as 'Connected' on the XB7 gateway may have been fixed.

I have 20+ wired devices connected to my XB7 Gateway through several daisy chained gigabit switches that are NOW showing up as connected on the Xfi app.   Both on the iphone and web.

I now have 45+ wired and wireless devices showing as "Connected" in the app.

Woohoo!!   It seems to be fixed.
