TVAPP-00406

Having no luck with any answers on this online.

Try to stream a show on my laptop, worked yesterday, not today. I get this error message:

TVAPP-00406

Before answers are given, I have tried the following solutions several times:

Multiple web browsers (all fully updated)

Cleared Cache and cookies in all browsers

Restarted my X-1 Box and refreshed my internet service

I am at home, and live in the USA

Other details:

Works fine on my phone

Works fine directly on my TV

Laptop has not updated since yesterday when it worked fine

No one seems to know anything about this code, what it means, why it is there, etc.

Any answers would be great, but please read what I have already done. I have seen many replies to these types of posts by well meaning people who seem to have reading comprehension issues as they ask questions that are already answered.

Sorry for my snarkiness, but this is very frustrating to pay this much for service and I can't use it, with no answers from anyone

Me too. Been going on for a month now. I've posted logs and screen shots but have not received any replies from Comcast. I spent an hour on the phone with tech support - they wanted to send someone out to check the physical cable. I declined. It seems like there's a "handshake" that's not taking place. "Establishing secure connection" stays visible at the bottom (of Chrome) even though the browser works with all other secure sites. Icons for channels and recorded shows are no longer on screen, and logs indicate timeouts trying to load these icons. Same timeouts in all browsers on my PC (Win7 Ultimate). All other devices work fine. There were no apparent Microsoft updates when this started - I just woke up one day and it no longer worked. Very frustrating. @Comcast_Support , please help!

Now that Comcast streaming has eliminated the requirement for Flash, all my streaming capabilities are now working again.

Not quite.

I've never installed Flash on my Mac. Before, Xfinity Stream would come to a grinding halt whenever I tried to launch it on Safari. Nowadays, I can bring up Xfinity Stream on my Mac using Safari, browse the channel guide and my saved programs, but as I don't have Flash actually installed, it won't play any actual channels or recordings.
