There are several threads regarding this problem and in at least one ComcastDan acknowlaged that it was a widespread Comcast issue and that it had been refered to the technical team for resolution. Well, apparently it's happening again.
Just for the record, I am at home on a desktop computer running Windows 8.1 attached to my router by an Ethernet cable.
call 800-comcast and select billing. ask the agent to fix your username to point only to your current address/account.
