Xfinity Stream App for Galaxy Tab2

I had the Xfinity Stream App installed on my Galaxy Tab2 and it worked great.

I decided to clean up the Tablet and reset it back to the Factory Default settings and now I cannot install the Xfinity Stream App as it tells me my defive does not have the minimum requirements.

Do  you have different versions of the Xfinity Stream App that will work with older versions of Android and how can I access them so that I can use my Galaxy Tab2 with the Xfinity Stream App as it worked previsous to the Factory Reset.

xfinity doesn't support updates to your phone devices. a google search found this search link. https://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/876071-want-update-galaxy-tab-2-7-0-a.html

You may also want to check to make sure your device meets Xfinity's minimum system requirements for the Xfinity Stream app (see below). Additional details can be found here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-tv-app-requirements

Android Device Requirements

Supported Operating Systems
To find and download the Xfinity Stream app in the Google Play Store or Amazon App stores, your device must be running Android 5.0 or later. Any smartphone or tablet running Android 4 or earlier is not supported.

Supported Xfinity Stream App Versions
To access and watch all content, including content available to watch when out-of-home, Xfinity Stream app version 4.11.0 or later is required. Please visit the Google Play Store to download the latest version.

Streaming and Downloading Requirements

To stream or download programs in the Xfinity Stream app:

  • You must be an Xfinity customer.
    • If you are an Xfinity TV customer, you can watch anything your subscription allows. The program you want to access must be on a channel included in your channel lineup. For example, your channel lineup must include HBO for you to view or download HBO programs.
    • Non-Xfinity TV customers can watch select unrestricted free content.
  • Your device must have an active Internet connection via WiFi or a 3G/4G cellular network. Using a cellular network may incur data charges; check your wireless provider's rate plan for details.
  • To stream in-home live TV you must be connected to your in-home Xfinity network.
  • Pay per view events are not available in the app.

Re: Xfinity Stream App for Galaxy Tab2

There are no firmware updates provided for this Tablet (not a phone).

What I was saying was able to install the Xfinity Stream App on this device a year ago and and was using it for the past year which worked fine.  If the App was "uninstalled" - why can't it be installed again?
