Streaming App
I just bought a new android tablet with Android 8.1. I downloaded streaming app from Playstore. Installed the app and clicked on it. I get the Get Started screen. When I ckick on get started I get the message Connection Error please check your connection and try again. Tried again. No luck. Checked wifi connection on tablet and I am connected to my home network. Deleated the app and downloaded again. Same problem. Checked my old android tablet and streaming works fine. Any ideas on how to get the new tablet working?

I checked this new tablet and it does not appear to have VPN or screen mirroring, although I am not all that tech savy. The old tablet I have is running version 5.7.2.001 xfinity streaming app The version that I just downloaded from the play store for the new tablet is 5.1.6.002. Could this be causing a problem? That is the only version available from the Play Store.

I pulled out an old marshmallow and an oreo and both have the first version you lissted. Is it possible that the old tablet has been compromised or 'jail-broken' in that the original OS has been removed invalidating the verified by google check?

Last week I used the old tablet to stream a live show and it worked fine. The next day I went to use it again but I got a message that there was an upgrade for the streaming app. I updated the app to this new version and it still works. I do not know if the newer version of the streaming app would work on this new tablet. I did see that a lot of people with Kindle Fire were having the same connection error that I am getting. It did not seem that they got an answer to the problem.
