All week while watching on streaming app on Samsung smart TV it freezes then goes to a completely different channel after reloading. Very frustrating and annoying to watch!

We have had the same issue for a week. The app freezes every two to ten minutes and turns black screen with the three dots loading. Then it will resurface. It’s so annoying. No other apps are this way in our Samsung tv. I called tonight and they reset our service box three times. ....thanks?
We have had Stream Beta for about 2 months now, streaming directly to an LG smart TV. We too are plagued by fairly frequent (sometimes every 5-10 min) freezes. We either have to wait about 20-30 sec for the stream to resume on it's own, or we have to quickly go back to the Guide and reselct the show, which usually resumes immediately.
We have Amazon Prime and Apple TV, and neither of these streaming services exhibit this behavior, suggesting it is NOT a wifi or bandwidth issue, and not a general TV issue, but an Xfinity Stream App issue.
I have not contacted Xfinity yet - hoping to find the solution in these forums! But despite the large number of postings about this I haven't seen any magic bullet yet!

we have 3 roku express devices and never experience that problem. perhaps the stream rate is higher for xfinity streams. it seems that the LG/Samsung TVs have issues while the same streams work well on roku.
About two months ago, I bought an LG 43UM7300 tv. It was a replacement for an older LG tv that I was using a Roku stick on mainly to watch live TV through the Xfinity Streaming app. With the Roku stick, I would experience occasional buffering while using the app. I bought this particular new LG tv since it was one of the few authorized tv's to run the Xfinity app. I started to experience much more buffering while on ethernet than I did with the Roku stick on wifi. I then bought an additonal LG tv (same model) and have been experiencing even more buffering issues and freezing with that one (also on ethernet). A speed test through the browser on the LG tv has been showing around 30Mbps while the test through Netflix has been over 90Mbps. This is on a 150Mbps Xfinity plan. I have been over on the LG forum and the Netgear forum to see if it is TV or router related and I haven't found an answer yet. Comcast did mention on their website that certain features or full optimization might not be available for the beta version, so I'm not not if that is affecting anything. By the way, I have been using the beta version for over a year and am wondering why a full version hasn't been put out yet.

attach your roku without moving the TV's location. does it play normally?
I no longer have the Roku stick. I just have two new LG tv's that are authorized to run the Xfinity app. Both tv's are set up about 70-80' from the router. I have a PC fairly close to one of the tv's that gets 200 Mbps while the tv's only get from around 30-40Mbps. I understand that they can't get over 100 Mbps, but should be able to get close to that. While the speed that I'm getting may be fast enough to run some/most of the apps on the tv's, I am getting regular buffering issues with them while using Xfinity app.

a roku (even 2) might be less expensive than a wifi repeater installed nearer to the TVs or a wired access point or an xfinity pod (mesh repeater).
