I cant get any of my devices to even open Showtime Anytime. Whenever opeing Anytime App on phone, it says "it looks like we can't reach Showtime at the moment. Please try again later".
My smart TV's hang when trying to open Anytime.
A different family member was able to access Showtime Anytime (thru Dish provider) - but only when connected to the cell-network, not when connected on my home Xfinity network.
We've had the same problem for 6+ weeks, and Comcast is doing little to help. I have spoken with them weekly, in addition to showtime and have probably spent more than 7 hours of my precious time talking to representatives who can't help, and honestly, don't seem to care. My calls are often 'disconnected,' but I really think the Comcast rep just hangs up on me. It seems that Comcast is somehow blocking your ability to stream showtime anytime if you subscribe to showtime with anyone but Comcast. They should be ashamed of themselves as a company. I can stream showtime anytime with all my potable devices (iphone, ipad) using other internet providers, just not mine, which, unfortunately is Comcast. I suggested to the Comcast supervisor that I spoke with today that they should provide us with a complimentary subscription to Showtime anytime through Comcast until they fix their internet issue. We'll see what happens. i really hate this company and which I could use another provider.
Thanks! Been working on it all morning and it appears I was able to fix it by disabling parental controls (circle app) in my Netgear Orbi router and then restarting the router. I think parental controls was somehow blocking showtime anytime.
Oops. I take it back. I thought I fixed it but what I learned is that it works if I play from a cellular connection which was happening while I restarted my router but it won't play from comcast internet. It's like comcast is blocking showtime.
I have been emailing with Showtime about this. They say the problem is with Comcast and others have reported the same thing. Will let you know the solution if it gets resolved but I recomend calling Comcast.
