Re: Stream is not playable

I am getting the same message and I have an iPad mini, which is supported. What's the problem? AirPlay is turned off.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Yes, I can sign into the app, and I can see a menu, and I can see the numbered channels. But I cannot play--the message I receive is, "This video stream is not playable under the current device conditions. Please disconnect any external device (including AirPlay) and try again."

I'm not allowed to have this viewed via AirPlay on my TV set? I can only watch it on the iPad itself?

if you have a wifi enabled desk/laptop even an inexpensive chrome book you can stream to the TV using a Chromecast dongle or better use a modern Roku device and use it like a set top box.

I moved your off-topic reply to a separate thread for your ipad mini. are you able to sign in to the Xfinity stream app? if not what error d you receive. if you are able to sign in on the ipad mini, do you get a menu. If you are at home, are you able to play the 'numbered' TV channels available to you on the set top box on the ipad mini? do on-demand titles play?

Correct, same as iPhone. The mobile app has never had that capability

Is there a way for me to watch it on my TV?

Most laptops don’t have hdmi in, you want to hook either laptop or Roku to the tv, not Roku to laptop. Sorry the reply above that was one long sentence with no punctuation confused you

This is very helpful! I have Roku. I don't know how to hook it up to my laptop but I will see if I can figure it out . . .
