Have received this message when logging into my xfinity account.  This has been going on for last couple weeks since setting up a new account.

I've tried logging in and dewing the forgot id method & "Find My Account Number" link with no results.  I have not gotten through on the customer service chat either.  When I call the 1-800-XFINITY number it says I do not have a account with this telephone number but it will still send a verification code to the same number when using the forgot id method approach.

We moved 1/4 mile from where we were living and cannot get our internet activated. 

This looks like what is happening with us! 3 days of "just reboot your modem" etc. etc.
6+ hours in 3 live chat sessions!
We are about to quit and move to AT&T

My kids are trying to do school online and they can't since we moved 3+ days ago.

Running into same issue, also unable to access technical support due to automated system blocking me out for not having tried a self-service method first. Trying to activate a new modem!

This may or may not a a fix but I just spoke with a "Tony" on the phone through the 1800XFINITY #. I got ahold of him by saying new service on the automated line. He said you have to leave your modem plugged in so Xfinity can register it. I thought I did that but I know I unplugged it at one point. Also I think my modem is still good because he indicated it was registered in the past when I had service last October but the modem could of gone bad since then. In any case apparently the order gets "timed out" after 7 days so I may need to go online and set service up again. We'll see if it works. I would of set up service with him then but it was a bit more expensive vs online. I may call back the 1800XFINITY # again of all else fails.
