Signing In

Each time I sign in to my account, xfinity sends a text msg. generating a passcode.  Why is this happening when I have the correct password.  This is frustrating each time I sign in to check my email or pay my bill.  This is unacceptable.

What it sounds like is that you are enrolled in Two-Step Verification, which better secures your account by texting you a code you have to enter and prevents others from hacking into your account if your password was ever part of a large data breach (e.g. the Equifax one)


You can learn more about this functionality here, and if it is unsuitable for  you, you can click the "don't ask me again on this device" checkbox in the sign-in, or  you can disable it in My Account.
