Accidentally linked new account to mother’s active account

Used the same my personal email for my new account just opened without remembering I had used it to set up my moms account for her prior. Now they are both linked together and I need to make sure she’s not getting billed for my new account after service begins on 7/10

Sorry to hear that!

 

When you linked, it now treats her Xfinity ID (email) as the only identity, with two homes underneath it. Each will have their own billing, so she will not be billed for your account, but when the services start, she would see the your bill.

Would you like to manage both together, or separate them?

 

If you'd like to have separate sign-ins, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Sign in to her account and remove your email from it, then add her email or use another email)
  2. Sign out of her account
  3. Sign in to your account, and go to Settings --> Linked Accounts and find your new account, and click unlink. 
  4. You can then go to xfinity.com/getstarted to create a new Xfinity ID, which you can add your email to.
