Adding an Additional User and Confirming Address

I tried to add somebody to my account as an additional, unrestricted user with billing permissions. On my account, it says the would-be new user is still "Invite Pending." However, when they try to submit the address to confirm the account, they are being told the address is incorrect. The new user is entering the same address on my account. What is the solution to this?
