when dialing a number rings at other end, person picks up says hello I just keep hear ringing.

Keep having this issue where when I call a number, I hear it ringing, the other person picks up says hello a number of times and then they hang up, all I hear the whole time is the line still ringing.  then I get a call from that person saying that they were saying hello and not hearing anything back.  Has anyone seen this issue and if so what did they do to fix it if there were able too?  Since I have had comcast it continues to be nothing but issues, if there was another service in this area I would go to it but I am stuck.  Last time I had an issue worked with service for a year and they never fixed it, was told I would have to live with it until the node was upgraded, so far that does not seemed to have happened.

Hi,

 

Please try to remove any call forwarding features, as they can prohibit your CDV (Comcast Digital Voice) system from answering the call.

I never use any of the call forwarding features as I have had far to many issues with just the normal comcast telephone call features let alone trying to do anything fancy.  But thanks for that advice.  I just wish it would fail solid so then maybe their technical people might be able to fix something.

If your having trouble getting a tech out to your place, I recommend unplug your prior to your call Gateway/Modem, X1 Boxes, Etc. then plug them back in once your tech is scheduled.

 

The agents will then see in the Einstien360 or "their system" that all your services are down, and they should send out a tech.

 

If that doesn’t work I recommend you call corporate Comcast at: (215) 665-1700.
