The Xfinity website indicates that “CAT-iq 2.0 handsets can be paired with the [xFi Advanced] Wireless Gateway” including the Technicolor CGM4140COM gateway. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/broadband-gateways-userguides. That seems to imply that a CAT-iq 2.0 handset can be wirelessly paired with the gateway and used to make VoIP calls.

Still trying to find out if anyone has successfully wiredlessly paired a CAT-iq 2.0 handset with a Xb6 gateway and how.
The only information I could find on this on Comcast's site is in the user guide for the DPC3941T at https://ciscodocs.technicolor.com/support/userguides2/tp-00102.pdf. It includes the following:
Top Panel Description ...
2 PAGE—OFF (normal condition) indicates the Page feature is not active. Slow
blinking indicates the unit is on and communicating with registered telephone
receivers (only CAT-iq 2.0 handsets). Fast blinking indicates that the unit is
transmitting data to registered handsets. To register the unit with a handset,
press the button for 15 seconds. After the unit and handset have registered, press
the button for up to 3 seconds to page registered handsets; press the button again
for up to 3 seconds to stop paging registered handsets.
Important: Use the Page feature only with Cordless Advanced Technology

Thanks for the information. And my "service provider" would be Comcast, right? I would love for Comcast to enlighten us on how/whether the CGM4140COM gateway wirelessly works with CAT-iq 2.0 handsets and if so, which handsets.
BTW: After posting this question I ran across a post on DSLreports indicating that Comcast deactivated support for CAT-iq 2.0 handsets in a recent firmware update to the CGM4140COM gateway. If true, that would be odd since Comcast is actively promoting the CGM4140COM gateway as supporting CAT-iq 2.0 handsets. Again, it would be nice if Comcast would weigh in on the topic. The use of a wireless handset (and even better a third-party wireless CAT-iq 2.0 alarm module) would be very handy in my situation.
I recently asked two Comcast employees (a knowledgable guy in the Xfinity tech department and a very helpful gal in a Denver Xfinity store) for the name of any CAT-iq 2.0 compatible handset that works with the Technicolor CGM4140COM gateway. Neither Comcast employee had heard of CAT-iq 2.0 compatible handsets or knew of this "feature" touted by Comcast.
