No dial tone since we moved

No dial tone since we moved

Ever since we moved our phone doesn't work.  There is no dial tone, only static.  (Internet and TV work fine.)

 

I brought a corded phone from work that is known to work.  (I tested it at work on  the POTS line there before borrowing it.)  I plugged it into the primary jack on the modem and, when that failed, into the secondary jack on the WiFi router.  On both jacks I heard only static.

 

There was no other phone connected.

What modem do you have ? What do the lights do?

It is a Cisco XB3.  The power light is on.  The US/DS light is on.  The 2.4 GHz light is blinking.  The 5 GHz light is blinking.  The Tel1 light is off.  The Tel2 light is off.  The Battery light is off.

 

There is no change to the lights when I lift the handset.

Your phone isn’t properly activated. Call in to complete activation. When it is Tel1 will be solid
