Landline phone Jack no longer works

A new gateway was recently installed in my home in a different location. The original one had the line connected to the phone jack wired directly to it. Cat5e cable to that Jack. How can I complete the circuit to the gateway to enable use of the jack?

Is there a phone jack in that room where the modem is now located? If not you may need to move your phone to the modem

There Is no Jack in that room. The phone works directly plugged into the gateway, but I would like to use the Jack for easier access. Do I need to rewire the house to have the modem connect to the existing jack? It's the only one in the house. The other end is attached to a phone line "biscuit " in the basement.

Yep either move it back to the original location, install a phone line to the new location or just keep your phone plugged into the gateway.
