Xfinity Home Phone
I live in an older house with limited phone jacks. I would like to move to Xfinity Voice, and would like to use my home inside wiring. Because there is no telphone jack where my Xfinity service is nstalled, will a wireless phone jack, that can be plugged into an electrical outlet, work in order to use my inside wiring versus a standard wall jack.? Thanks--any information will be appreciated.

These days you can get a 4-phone wireless set in the $100 neighborhood - probably cheaper than fiddling with old wiring. You can plug the base unit into the voice jack in the cablemodem and use the other 3 anywhere in the house you want.

Thanks for your response--much appreciated. I was looking for options other than the wireless handsets. Old home with few jacks, and outlets not conveniently located, were the reasons I was looking to use the internal house wires for the phone.

There are wireless extender/adapters like this.
https://www.amazon.com/RCA-RC926-Wireless-Phone-Jack/dp/B00000J08Q
but it doesn't make any sense to spend that compared to a system like this or similar.

I gave up on my wired phones years ago when siding installers shorted out some sections. The wireless sets are much nicer and you can have your choice of using the local answering machine or letting xfinity do it.
