Caller ID Spoofing?

I just received the second call of the day (I did not answer fhe first) from what is a MetroPCS cell number in Massachusetts. When I answered the second call from that number, the lady calling informed me that I have been calling her number and asked for my name, which I did not provide. I explained that I had not used the phone in a while.

I checked the call history going back to the first of June and there are no outbound calls to the number she called from.

Should this person call me again, does it sound like there is Caller ID spoofing going on?

Since she asked me for my name, whatever is showing up in the Caller ID on the other end likely isn't including that.

You should alert your local police and tell them what is happening. This happened to

friend of mine and they were able to trace the real origin and took action. Good luck!
