I have C'cast voice service that replaced my Vz copper land line and I went thru a war to get C'cast Voicemail disabled since I use my home TAM for messages. Now (after Isaias) the handset's red led blinks and display says "Voice Mail". (see pic)
It's a Serene CL-60A cordless w/big buttons, amplified and with it's own "TelephoneAnsweringMachine". Red led blinks and 'Voice Mail" shows on display when my local messages are all erased fm machine. C'cast CS is no help.
Any suggestions? I've already flatlined the handset and base, and the router, pulling AC & batteries. Same thing. It's a nit, but I worked hard to weed out the majority of the C'cast voice "features" just to have a reasonable replacement for the trusty Vz landline.
I have a local answering machine but NO carrier's voicemail. (see 2nd pic)
Handset default reset got msg# back to zero but "Voice Mail" still appearing and red led still flashing. Carrier imust be sending a signal that I've got messages in my non existant voice mailbox.
