No reply buttons

Can someone please tell me why I have no reply buttons on a forum dealing with the loss of TCM?

This is the forum: WHY IS COMCAST CHANGING TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES TO SPORTS PACKAGE IN OCTOBER?

Thanks in advance

You can’t reply if a thread is locked

I see no indication that the thread is locked. Others were posting to it when I couldn't...

Re: No reply buttons

I just went back to the forum and I have a post there responding to a post by someone else that I found here earlier this morning. There are still no reply buttons there. Very odd...

That post and others get merged to the bigger locked thread

Re: No reply buttons

I’m trying to find the link to the article I saw. Basically it was some states along the east coast. Delaware, Maryland, DC, etc. They said they restored TCM because customerS didn’t receive appropriate notice. I don’t believe that. Trying to google this. I’ll keep trying.

Re: No reply buttons

This was over the last 3 days. Others were posting and I couldn't.

If it is locked, I have to wonder why? I see the “Solved” tag. By what definition? It was a lively, ongoing discussion. Why was it shut down then?

@Lkmen
That is true, some markets didn’t get a notification in their statements at the same time as others. You can choose to believe whatever you wish

It’s been weeks it’s been locked, single threads just get moved there, you might think it was a lively discussion but it’s not. It usually happens when a thread degrades or run its course

Re: No reply buttons

I would think that as a Comcast employee, that you would refrain from a comment like ‘you can believe whatever you like’... paraphrase. Just another example of how Comcast treats customers

Re: No reply buttons

Thanks, Andrew. I don't spend much time here. Seems a bit clunky :  )

It still makes me wonder why it was locked - seems to me that customers still needed some place to air their grievance, but that's up to Comcast, I suppose.  I think they should be listening to those customers on this point, though. Viewers of TCM have a relationship with that channel and, as pointed out, many are seniors and may find it difficult to pay for something that was included in their package. It's just bad PR to me.

I’m not an employee. Sorry, you said you didn’t believe what you said that you read, even though it’s correct.

As I said, customers are still making individual posts about it. It’s just gets moved to the larger thread. The mods locked it when it’s the same people posting about it over and over, posts are inflammatory or don’t follow posting guidelines, just simple stuff. It’s their sandbox...

Re: No reply buttons

@CCAndrew

I certainly understand whose sandbox it is. I haven't read the whole thread so I can't speak to inflammatory, but What I did read was a lot of anger, and most of it somewhat understandable. On these kinds of forums it seems to me it's best to use a lock as a last resort. They have to listen to the customers and it doesn't seem like they're going to. It's a pretty dumb move, particularly with the general mood of the country right now. Comcast should definitely reconsider, in my opinion. But I'm just a customer myself. For now.

Re: No reply buttons

Anything inflammatory gets removed by the mods as those posts are against the forum guidelines.
