server unreachable

Most times than not I get numerous server unreachabe errors. Takes a long time to sign in just to check email. I have reset my pc and router numerous times with no help. Anybody else having this problem.   Thanks

Re: server unreachable

Yes, I'm having the same issue connecting to my email account via Thunderbird on my Windows PC. It's configured to check incoming emails via POP3 connection via port 110 and connection security = STARTTLS. I'm not sure if the POP3 server (mail.comcast.net) is down or not authenticating. FWIW, my other email apps on mobile devices using IMAP are working fine.

Someone from Comcast needs to investigate further...

@jkmonahan are you using IMAP or POP3? "Unable to reach server" is a pretty broad description. Is there a specific error code you get?

Re: server unreachable

Thunderbird on my PC, which is using a POP3 / Port 110 connection isn't working. It had been working for years until a few days ago.

My mobile devices, which are using IMAP are working fine.

Re: server unreachable

I just read through the information in the URL provided. I updated to port 995 and set security to SSL/TLS and all is working properly now.

Thanks for the help!

Re: server unreachable

In relation to @jkmonahan, I've been unable to access my email for a few weeks now. All of a sudden, the email stopped loading on my Iphone and when I try to log in through Google using my Ipad, it just says "Server Unreachable" with NO error code. I believe I am using IMAP not POP, but I can't be sure. I'm not very tech savvy.

Please help.
