I got an email saying my email settings are outdated and must switch to the new format within 24 hours or I will lose email access...is this a scam?
Yes. You can either ignore it or delete it [both] or report it.
If you don't see this logo by an opened email, it's probably not from Comcast.
For reference: see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-verified-email. Note that the logo is only present when you view your email in Comcast's Xfinity Connect webmail. If the logo is missing in webmail, the message is bogus.
That email is not from Comcast. Please mark the email as spam and you are then free to delete it.
