For approximately the last week or so, every time I send a Comcast email, it is sent twice. It shows up twice with the same time stamp in my "Sent" folder. Receipients have complained to me that they get my emails twice. How can I fix this? I have made no changes to my email settings and have been using the same Comcast email account for many years. This recent glitch is the first time it has happened. How to I fix this annoying situation? Thank you for your help!
How are you accessing your email? With only the webmail interface and a browser? Or with a desktop email client like Thunderbird or Outlook? Something else?

Only with the webmail interface and one of the three browsers...Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer. I have no email client loaded.

Then I'm going to escalate this to the forum admins for follow-up. I've never encountered this phenomena with the webmail before in the forums. You should see a response here in this thread.
Greetings, comb-382410! I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us here on the forums. I hope you are having an amazing day. We certainly apologize to hear of the issues you are running into when sending out emails and they are duplicating not only in your sent folder but for the recipient as well. We would like to look into this. Can you please send us a PM with your first and last name so we may further assist you?
To send a private message, please click the name "Comcast_Support" then select "Send a Message" on the right side.
This is happening to me also. Just noticed it starting today. Using the web interface on PC running Google Chrome. Have never had issues with it before.
I don't know if mine are going twice, but I am receiving lots of e-mails twice.
I have not heard back from you, "Comcast Employee." I am still having the problem. What is the solution?

Did you send the PM as requested by the employee?
Yes. scroll up in the posting string and you will see the "Comcast Employee" request for a PM on November 1st. I sent it that day and I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM him/her/them. ??????

OK then I'll escalate it again and see if we can get some traction for you.
I have a similar issue: I receive duplicate emails (not every email but several/day). I'm not seeing a pattern (same sender, size, etc.). Often the second version appears one-two minutes later than the first. Any suggestions? Obviously i just delete the duplicate, but it seems inefficient.
Thank you.

Are you using a desktop email client like Outlook or Thunderbird? Or the Mail app on a mobile device? Or just the webmail with a browser?
Returning to the original topic - duplicate emails being SENT - has there been any progress on this? I have a friend with the same problem. To the best of my knowledge, she uses only webmail.
I'm seeing, for exampl, 2 separate but identical emails with the same time stamp (to the second) being sent with different Message-IDs ([ID]@connect.xfinity.com). Both appear to start their journey from
oxapp-asa-35o.email.comcast.net ([96.118.50.28]
and then diverge into different paths from there.
A few days after my October 2019 posting on this Xfinity Help and Support Forum about the problem of emails being sent twice, I was urged by another forum member to contact Xfinity/Comcast technical support. I did that, but since then I have not received a substantive response outlining a remedy. I wonder why that is.
Agree! I got no solution either...
This problem went away and now it's back.
It would be helpful if someone at Comcast could put some cycles into this.
Here are the most interesting headers at the origination of a pair of these duplicate messages.
Looks like Open Exchange is the mailer used in webmail? It appears that a single message is created and sent (Date header), but then 2 separate copies of that are being sent forward as separate messages 1 second apart to different next-hop relays.

Somebody was kind enough to give me kudos for that last post. I got 2 copies of the email telling me that.
I am having the same exact problem. It has happened off and on (mostly on) since November. 4 out of 5 replicated today...
Hello, comb-382410!
I appreciate you reaching out to us about these duplicate emails. I'd love to take a closer look and find the cause so we can get it fixed for you. Please send me a private message with your first and last name, as well as your service address so I can assist.
To send a private message, click my name "ComcastTambrey", then click "send a message".
I too am having similar duplicate email problem when sending emails. I am using regular xfinity email, have Firefox and I do have Thunderbird, but I don't actively use it for email, only have it to backup my comast emails. What I believe is happening is related to when the document I am creating gets saved in the Draft folder. If I create a quick email, there doesn't seem to be the duplicate issue. However, if I have the document open awhile and/or save it to the Draft folder is when I notice the double copies being received (as I cc myself often on stuff I send).
Please post a way to resolve this issues so everyone can benefit. Thank you.
