Can I archive my comcast e-mail?

Re: archive info

That depends on how you define "Archive".  You can, of course, create local folders in the account and move messages there.  Or, using a desktop client like Outlook, Mac Mail, Thunderbird or some such, you can create folders that are local to your computer, and back them up to an external hard drive.  Depends on which way you want to go with it.  There is no stand-alone archiving function in the Appsuite software though.

Re: archive info

Hi & thanks.  I had reached or nearly, my 10GB storage limit (20+ years of e-mail).  My e-mail exploded before I resolved the issue but did try some stuff prior.  In this case, the problem with Outlook solution is it would only let me select a few e-mails at a time & I had about 170,000 mgs....  I needed to be able to select a month or better year at a time & could not.  Still tried doing a few at a time & after short while everything froze up....  But after my e-mail exploded & I lost everything in ALL folders, Comcast tech support was able to restore about 35%.  We have not figured out what the restore saved & what it deleted but I went from 93% full to 32% so guess I do not have to worry about archiving for a while.  But lesson learned is do not wait until you go over 90%.  Things go haywire way before getting to 99%....  They also showed me how I can save individual important messages to a file on the desktop.....
