SPAM

A few days ago a lot of my new mail from existing correspondents wound up in my SPAM folder.  I selected it all and Moved it to my inbox.  Since then I have not been receiving a LOT of my expected email (and it is not in my SPAM folder either).  What could be causing me to not receive those email anymore?  Could my "copy" to the inbox have caused them to be rejected by the server as spam?  I tried Tech Support and they couldn't help.  If I identify something as spam does it not get delivered at all, rather than putting it in Spam folder  If so, how can I reverse that action?

I'm having EXACTLY the same problem.  I haven't changed any settings but double-checked them just in case. - no luck!
