SPAM: Please Advise

My father’s email is being flooded with hundreds of spam. The spam filter is on and they are still coming through. How can we stop this? He works in cyber security and was frustrated with his experience with Xfinity customer/tech service. They basically said he has to go through hundreds of emails and mark them as spam, and you can only mark 8 at a time!
