SPAM INCREASE -- AGAIN (September 2019)

After repeated postings here and intense work several months ago -- filtering everything I could -- the Spam problem is back AGAIN.  Nothing I do helps, and I do know all the steps from my end.  I get the impression Comcast took control of the problem for a while -- and has let it go again.

I suggest they look at Gmail, Yahoo mail and Hotmail, which have been able to keep this under control.  Is it just indifference?

A few things have transpired since then to help all users, but the stuff that was hitting your inbox (that I could tell) should be prevented based on a few criteria.  If you see a pattern emerge again, feel free to PM me to get it sorted out.  The spammers are constantly adapting, and feedback always helps.

I've been getting lots of spam in the past couple of weeks, too. Most of it is coming from a couple of specific domain names in the sender's address. I have filters that take care of those. I expect that this is just a phase and they will fade away after while.

@afohara Looking at your traffic the past few days, I believe I see what's going on.  Let's see what we can do to resolve this.

@afohara Are you still seeing the same spam messages come through?

Thanks for the reply!  I have received only one Spam email this morning, and it went to my Spam Folder.  None appeared in my In Box.  That was good to see.  Was there a problem and has it been fixed?

They seem to be starting up, again.  At the lead is a spammer that uses constant variations of "FrontOffer."  I've filtered it every way I can and marked them as "send to spam folder," but they persist -- always with "FrontOffer," and go to my inbox.  Nothing more I can do from my end.  In that they use the same thing every time, I would think that filtering it would work.  I'm including a screen shot.

@afohara I saw this early this morning, and we've taken action between now and then.  I'm still monitoring to see if the tactics change again.

So far so good -- thanks!  These spammers can be slippery, and as soon as we see a pattern in what they're using, we should be able to filter it.
