Recover email incorrectly filtered as spam

The spam filtering setting for my email was turned on in settings, and my messages thought to be spam have been automatically deleting. A very important email regarding college admissions was incorrectly identified as spam, and was therefore deleted. The email was sent about two weeks ago, and after I did not receive it, I contacted the college and they resent it at 12:00pm today. Is there any way to recover this email?

In a case like this, you could call Comcast security and ask them to look at any blocking issues for that sender's domain---------------------
