I have an older QSEE QT428 DVR system. All was working fine before the stmp update.
I use the DVR email alert option to send 3 snapshot jpg files to an gmail account.
I recently updated the smtp.comcast.net port number from 587/no SSL to 465/SSL.
I followed these instructions:
I am able to run DVR test email and receive to my gmail account.
However, on the motion alert email which has 3 jpg files attached I do not receive anything.
I'm wondering if the smtps server is not allowing this?
The other night, it was sending many emails due to a spider web triggering motion. wondering if my email account was blocked? This was before i made the port updates.
