Problem Has Quickly Retured Again---The Emails Written From My Comcast Email Are Not Being Received

The problem of my emails sent from our Comcast email account and being received has returned again,  even after being fixed by the Comcast agent on this forum earlier this week by clearing a spam filter.  We had sent out only about 10 personal emails in that time span. Here's the original reply and fix here by the Comcast rep a few days ago....

"It appears that your emails are being marked as spam. This could be due to any number of reasons. I have cleared the filtration, which should apply within the hour. Please review your email sending practices to ensure they dont appear commercial or advertisement in nature, as it would then require you to follow".

Please try to get to the bottom of this...I thought it was fixed, but I'm back in the dark again with a crippled email.

OK..I tried it, and now both with and without, my name work...so far so good! Curious as to what is causing this. I'll try to change my password ASAP.

For now, I'll leave this thread open a few days and see what happens

I have found if I use the option "This email just contains your email address as sender. Your real name is not used."in the 'From' line of my email...the emails will go thru to the recipient OK....If I add the option to show my name with my emaill address in the 'From' line...the email does not get to the recipient. Not sure what is going on, but I have at least a workaround for now with that discovery.

Thanks for checking on my account.

Here's what I found to get it to work, but don't understand why...

When I select  'Compose' an email, at the top of the form is the 'From' line. There are two options there, one includes my full name and email address, the second says---'This email just contains your email address as sender. Your real name is not used.' When I use the first sending option, with full name and address in the 'From' line, my sent mail is never received, and probable blocked as spam(?) by Comcast(?). If I choose the second option, to just show my email address, the mail goes through.

I have no idea why one works and the other option doesn't....Can you explain what is happening and why?

@Tbirdkid can you please PM me an example of an email that didnt go through? I'm seeing a few instances marked for spam after we cleared it initially, specifically stating due to user complaints. Meaning that recipients of your emails have either marked you for spam or reported emails sent by you for spam. I would like to review the email content and see if there is anything specific within it that could be causing it.

Not sure how to PM you, please advise how to do that, as I'm new here in the last couple weeks. We pretty much email the same limited number of friends all the  time, so there should be no reason at all they would put us on their spam list...and this all started in the last two weeks. Once in a while I get email from those friends that comes thru marked as spam, and I unmark it.

@Tbirdkid I was able to find the cause for the filtration. Previous filtration was for the content you were sending and the current one was associated to as you mentioned the information of when you sent emails including your full name. I have cleared the filtration and should go into effect within the next hour. To note, the filtration was based on end-user reports. Meaning that individuals that received your emails reported your emails as spam. If you manage any newsletters or use the email for business practices, i refer back to the original link i provided to you for the Can Spam Act and i recommend verifying with your email listing to ensure that everyone receiving your emails intends to get them from you. Additionally, if you are using it for business practices - i recommend using a business based email platform because over time you will encounter further issues with spam filtration on our residential email platform.

It's been two hours since your filter reset, and the same situation with the emails exisits. No change--Email address with my name doesn't get delivered..Address without my name gets delivered. Could my email have been hacked, and someone using it to send spam, and cause the spam reporting?  I don't use my email for anything but some person to person letters..not business...and we use it minimally.

@Tbirdkid i made another change, please try again in 15 minutes and see if it goes through. Generally if you havent changed a password in the last year, then its recommended you do change it. Especially considering any large scale database compromises that your email may have been involved in.
