I just got a new laptop running Windows 10 and have three email accounts for different purposes. I was able to get the first one set up without issue but cannot get the other two to work. When I try to set up additional accounts it tells me it could not connect with the server or my user is not configured for the device(?). I've tried both POP and IMAP with the same results, and get it whether using the built in email program in Windows 10 or Outlook from Office. I did not have this issue on my old PC running Outlook in Windows 7.
Any suggestions?
What are the email providers you have the issue with? I have a Windows 10 laptop too, and the mail app in Windows 10 doesn't like iCloud accounts for one. Like some other email providers now, iCloud requires the use of an "app-specific" password in a third party app in addition to the usual one or it won't work. It will work in Mac Mail of course because it's Apple. My Comcast accounts all work just fine in the Windows 10 mail app though.
I should have mentioned these are all comcast email accounts.
And you've verified you're using the correct IMAP and SMTP server addresses with correct username/password for logon information?
Yes. The settings are exactly the same as those for the one (Comcast) email account that works fine. The only difference I can think of is that the one that worked is primary and the other two are secondaries. I even went back to the Comcast User records to see if there is anything I can see there. But again, I don't have this problem when using Outlook in Windows 7.

Try deleting the secondaries from the W-10 app, and then re-enter them again from scratch, but let the app auto-configure them for you. See if that sorts it out.
Maybe confirm which version of Outlook you are using?
