Lost Emails

My 49,000 emails were mistakenly deleted.  They were found in the Trash.  I used the Comcast recover fuction.  It restored 18,000 emails to my inbox before crashing.  I had to resign-in to find there were no-more emails in the Trash.  The restored emials consist of several messages from two days ago Dec 31, 2019, then skips to July 2019 with emails that end at May 2018.  My emails document my working projects going back to 2010 . I spoke to support represenatives twice and was given case #.   I am disappointed  by the inability of the represenative to access better tools to help me restore them and that they refused to acknowledge or document the issue through a follow-up email.  I am a long-term customer who has trusted Comcast with my personal data since 1998.  I am left without acknowledgement, definative feedback milestones other than keep checking you email from time to time.

Try right-clicking on the Trash folder, and you will see "Recover deleted items". Do you see any of the other missing emails in there? If so they can be recovered from there back to the Inbox.

Thanks. I did just that and my emails were there. I used the move function. It worked until it crashed. So only 18000 of my 49000 emails not including the recent 4 months. So Comcast function lost them. I am still looking for them and hoping Comcast will take my case more seriously.

It seems that there is a limit to the number that can be recovered, and to the number that can be in the trash.

Comcast needs to fix this!  At the current rate of spam, it only takes a short time to reach these limits.

Yes Comcast lost my e-mail also, and won't even try to restore them.

Normal practice for any IT business is to have backups, but it seems that they don't.

Even if I got to the end of last year, that is, that there are year and backups,

that would be fine.

Right after this, I figure out how to get a copy of them to my computer, but too late.
