I just received an email from
telling me to activate this coupon. Is this for real or is it a phishing scam? If it's for real, why is there no explanation of what the coupon is for?

If you check your email with Comcast's Xfinity Connect webmail (https://connect.xfinity.com/), look for the XFINITY Verified Email logo next to any message that claims to be from Comcast/Xfinity. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-verified-email. If the logo is missing when you view the message in webmail, the message is not from Comcast.
Unfortunately, AFAIK the logo is not present when you view one of their messages in an email app or program, not even in Comcast's own email app. It's only visible when you use their web email site.

Were you able to check the message for the XFINITY Verified Email logo in webmail? Did you mouseover the link to see if it looks legit?

Thanks, Bruce W. I guess I'll take the risk and redeem the coupon. Why not just give me a discount?
I started to use the coupon but found it is for "Rental or Purchase of Any Title" and decided to skip it. I just watch TV.

Yes, I did that. Then I saw the tiny type stating "If you do not wish to receive emails like this in the future, please click here." I did that and opted out of all sorts of emails I don't want. Thanks again!
