Ive been all day trying to fix this. Comcast told me to call Norton but i do not have Norton on my pc.. i called them anyway, and they said i would need to go back to Comcast and to delete my email address. I just got off the phone with comcast security, and they say their second level will get back to me in 15 mins. We shall see. I'm also reading mine with Xfinity connect mail. I'm happy to see someone else is having this problem and hopefully they will fix it soon. They are still coming in to mine fast and furious. I'll come back here when they call me back.

I am also receiving 1000 spam emails
Two days ago 999 in inbox and 999 in Spam folder in about an hour
Yesterday 600 over course of a day
I contacted Xfinity and was told to notify abuse.comcast.net
I did that but other than an auto generated email back I have
not heard anything back.
The fact that the pace is slowing could mean someone is working on
the issue but it would be nice to know for sure.
While it is not a bad idea to change password the fact that they show up
in the inbox using Xfinity web based email app means they are coming in
from the outside world . For example if you were using Microsoft Mail or
Thunderbird email app and saw them on your computer but did not see
them using the Xfinity web email app it would mean your computer was
hacked and you were sending them to youself then password would matter.
The fact that there is at least two of us receiving them and in my case they
are of the Xfinity web inbox tells me Xfinity is being Email Flood attacked.
As I said the pace is slowing so maybe someone is working on it .
Would be nice to know with an answer back from abuse.comcast.net or a post
here. I am also understanding it takes time and not looking for a quick fix.

HI
Since I a few others than just us on here having the same issue
of an overload of email messages it looks like a Denial of Service
attack on Xfinity. I have friends who also have Comcast email and
there not having any issues so I would guess a random number
of customers email addresses were selected by an extortionist.
The way Denial of Service works is one floods a server, email in this
case, and demands money to stop flooding the server.
Since we have a number of Xfinity customers getting spammed and
I know I have not been asked for any money I assume Xfinity is the
one being extorted. Just a theory.
By the way I have AVG internet security
The messages are so well made up or we are being connected to all the
legit emails on some server making them impossible to filter.

MJ same here only the primary account is getting email flooded.
Lady I see a few of my personal emails but not all I would normally get
if I keep emptying the inbox and waiting for it to refill and then squinting at
the list. I have not been reading them as I am not taking a chance they have
been hacked ie modified.
Actually I have not been missing the here are todays deals emails from best buy,
Amazon, LL Bean, Home Depot although sometimes I see something so I do not
stop them from coming in.

Comcast still hasn't fixed this for me. Anybody else get it fixed? Is there a way for me to only get emails from my contact list?
