How do I switch from imap back to pop?

I don't want my emails to sync across devices.  Is there a way to switch back to POP?   Thanks!

Thank you. I tried following these steps and even calling an Xfinity rep who provided the same instructions. But when entered them, the system will not verify my account and it resets me to imap. The rep sent me back to Apple since I use Apple devices. Started at Apple with no luck. Frustrating!
I may try to delete my email accounts and reinstall unless someone has a better idea. Thanks!
