Emails automatically deleted

Starting this evening all of emails for the past two months have disappeared. 

 

They are not in the trash or junk files—just gone. Furthermore, new emails that have come in this evening stay in the inbox for a few minutes and then disappear.

Have you recently set up a device to retrieve your email, such as your phone, an email client, ipad, etc?  Email clients tend to download the email and delete it from the comcast servers.

 

I suggest, too, that you immediately change your password for getting into your email.

The only change on my system is that I upgraded to Catalina but that was a few days ago and this just started tonight. In the meantime, I’ll change my password.
