Email from "Admin" Stating My Email is "Under Review"?

Just got an email supposedly from Xfinity that was from "Admin" (shows another email with gmail address) and states my "email is under review for security purposes." I was supposed to click on the small words "Xfinity" but, of course, I didn't as I'm marking this as spam trying to get into my computer somehow and/or my account.  Has anyone else gotten this type of email lately?  There is nothing wrong with my email as it's about online orders or church stuff or similar emails.  I'm just a baby boomer who's trying to be proactive against this type of stuff--too much of it everywhere!  Susan

Re: Email from "Admin" Stating My Email is "Under Review"?

I've received two emails like that this week. On this forum I learned to look for a red Xf on the left side of the email's subject line, plus the words "Verified Email. Learn More." If that's  there, Xfinity is the source; if not, don't open it. A red exclamation point came with the latest phishing attempt; watch out for similar.  I wish Xfinity would weed out this stuff before it reaches my inbox.  Surely that can be done.
